About This Book
The Foundation Trilogy unfolds in a distant future where humanity exists under the Galactic Empire's rule, exploring the concept of 'psychohistory' to forecast societal trends. In Foundation and Empire, the young Foundation confronts the last efforts of the Empire and later faces a new threat from the Mule, a warlord with the ability to manipulate emotions, which challenges the predictive models established by Hari Seldon. Themes of determinism, free will, and the cyclical nature of history resonate throughout the narrative, making it a cornerstone of science fiction literature.
