Munken Pure Rough Cream 120gsm (80lb) paper, manufactured at the Munkedal Mill in Sweden.

Typography

Text set in Klim Type Foundry's Martina Plantijn, with The Future used for headings and The Future Mono for the Encyclopedia Galactica entries. The title page sets the word FOUNDATION as fragments drawing together, echoing the Foundation taking shape as the Empire weakens.

Binding

Hand bound by Ludlow Bookbinders in premium linen book cloth, UV printed with Gregory Manchess's panoramic artwork (the second and third panels of the four-panel trilogy painting).

Spine

The author's and artist's names, title, and Galactic Empire emblem foil-stamped in silver on the spine.

Slipcase

Enclosed in a slipcase handmade of sturdy boards wrapped in a coated linen fabric with a beautiful glitter effect. Slipcase lined with Suedel for maximum protection.
